PROTON 5 Star Service provides customer with 5 years complete peace of mind.

  • The vehicle will include 5 years or 150,000km (whichever occurs first) factory backed comprehensive warranty on all Prevé, Exora and Suprima S.
  • PROTON warrants that the vehicle is covered against defects in material or workmanship under normal use for a period of 5 years / 150,000km from the warranty start date, subject to the warranty conditions in the vehicles Service Booklet.
  • All warranty repairs must be carried out at a PROTON Authorised Dealership or Authorised Service Agency.
  • The 5 years Factory Backed Warranty is subject to complying with the periodical service maintenance as specified in the vehicles Service Booklet. 
  • If you sell or transfer the ownership of your vehicle, the remaining period of warranty is transferable to the subsequent owner by completing the form as outlined in the vehicles Service Booklet.
  • In addition to the 5 years Factory Backed Warranty, the vehicle is also covered by a 7-year Perforation Warranty, subject to the conditions in the vehicles Service Booklet.

 

Returning to an Authorised PROTON Dealer or Authorised PROTON Service Centre for the 5 star service program will not only help you avoid costly and unnecessary repairs. It also assist in maintaining your vehicles value as this program ensures your vehicle is serviced by Authorised PROTON Technicians, your vehicle will be serviced using genuine parts & accessories and PROTON will have a record of your maintenance and repairs.

    • For private buyers the vehicle is covered by a comprehensive 3 years unlimited kilometre warranty on all S16 FLX, Persona Elegance and GEN.2 variants.

    • The comprehensive warranty for PROTON vehicles registered for commercial or fleet use is limited to 3 years or 100,000km, whichever occurs first.

    • In addition to the 3 years Comprehensive Factory Backed Warranty, PROTON also offers Anti-corrosion Warranty on the vehicle

      • S16 FLX & Persona Elegance - 7 years Anti-corrosion Warranty, subject to the conditions in the vehicles Service Booklet.  

      • GEN.2 - 7 years Anti-corrosion Warranty, subject to the conditions in the vehicles Service Booklet.  

    • PROTON warrants that the vehicle will be covered if it requires repair or replacement as a result of a defective manufacturer or materials within 36 months (or as per kilometre for commercial and fleet vehicles) from the warranty start date, subject to the warranty conditions in the vehicles Service Booklet.

    • All warranty repairs must be carried out at a PROTON Authorised Dealer or Authorised Service Agent.

    • It is highly recommended to use PROTON genuine parts and genuine accessories to ensure that the original vehicle specifications are maintained and the replacement parts meet the same high standard as the vehicles original equipment. This also ensures the vehicles compliance to the government regulations relating to vehicle safety and environment controls.

    • The 3 years factory backed warranty is subject to complying with the periodical service maintenance as specified in the vehicles Service Booklet. 

    • If you sell your car any remaining period of warranty are transferable to the new owner by completing the page outlined in the vehicles Service Booklet and forwarding the details onto PROTON Cars Australia Pty Limited. Exception being cars sold at an auction.  

 

Returning to an Authorised PROTON Dealer or Authorised PROTON Service Agent in accordance with the maintenance schedule contained in the service booklet will not only help you avoid costly and unnecessary repairs, it also ensures your vehicle is serviced by Authorised PROTON Technicians using genuine PROTON Parts and Accessories and a record of your maintenance and repairs will be kept by PROTON.
